You can skip this if you only shoot AF lenses, or just one manual lens. Here is where I set and select among my various manual focus lenses. Ideally Nikon needs a firmware improvement whereby we can switch between these by holding the Play button for several seconds, but Nikon hasn't gotten there yet. Sometimes I want to see each shot when shooting slowly, some times when shooting bursts I don't want the monitor popping in by itself. I use this profusely on my D3, but since the D700 doesn't offer variable aspect ratios, I don't reprogram the FUNC button of the D700 and could take this off the D700's My Menu. This makes it easy to reset the FUNC button to another clever trick. I use this to create a new folder for each subject I shoot. I set 1/100 if shooting people, 1/250 if shooting a long tele, and 1/8 if shooting wide landscapes. In this menu I set the lowest shutter speed depending on what I'm shooting.

I turn ISO AUTO on and off here as I go between auto and manual exposure. I use my VIVID setting with +3 saturation for photos of things, and NEUTRAL with +1 saturation for photos of people. My top item, to which I can get by assigning the FUNC button, lets me select among the various picture controls.

It's obvious how to program these: your options are at the bottom of this menu (or at the top before you put anything in it).

This feature helps immensely, since Nikon hides so many important menu items in weird locations. You select which of these two menus are used (My Menu or Recent settings) with the Choose tab option at the bottom of this menu.

You also have the option of using Nikon's older Recent settings menu, which automatically update to contain the items you've used recently. My Menu lets you put all the menu items you actually use in one place. Press MENU, scrolling to the left and selecting the bottom option which has an icon resembling another menu with a check. We give an example: One week we buy cauliflower for 50,- CZK to prepare fried cauliflower and the price is x, but the next week we buy cauliflower for 80,- CZK and the price of fried cauliflower will be higher by the cost associated with the price of cauliflower. This is how meal prices at SKM have been determined since 2010.

If entry prices fall, there will be a price drop for the customer again. The current increase in raw material entry prices is the reason for the overall higher meal prices at SKM. The price level for the customer is therefore determined by the price of the feedstock and the SKM premium including the cost of making the meals.

Input prices enter as data into software that calculates the resulting price for the customer. Every day, raw materials for preparing the best-affordable meals compete. What does that mean in practice? SKM canteens have automatic dynamic pricing. The cost of meals for students takes into consideration the MŠMT subsidy and the cost of meals for staff takes into consideration the employer's contribution to the relevant calendar year. Operating and overhead costs are fixed and are fixed once a year at the end of February, according to SKM's management the previous year. The price of food provided in canteens is determined according to calculative formulas and takes into consideration the entry price of food consumed purchased via the FBS purchasing system, operating and overhead costs, the applicable rate of value added tax and, for foreign diners, a premium is calculated in the price according to the Rules for Calculating the Price of Masaryk University and SKM Management Rules. Your specific price of meals can be found in the WebKredit lunch ordering system or on your mobile phone in the MobilKredit application.
